Parents Guide

Prayatna’s Model of Operation:

First step: Child would visit the pediatrician for the regular check up.

Second step: If any delay or concerns observed the child would be referred to the counselor (after checking all the physical aspects such as hearing impairment, visual impairment etc.).

Third step: During Parent child counselor meeting a screening of the milestone developments is done. If during this screening the child shows delay of more than 3 months then the child is referred to the Occupational Therapy Department where a detailed Developmental assessment is done

Fourth step: These assessments give a clear idea of the childs problem areas eg : sensory concerns, Cognition concerns, Comprehension concerns, Perception, Social skills etc.

Fifth step: Once the assessment is done the therapist works on the problem areas and tries to bridge the age gap and overcome all the concerns to lift up the child ‘s developmental age.

PLEASE NOTE AT PRAYATNA WE BELIEVE THAT RATHER THAN PERFORMING PSYCHOMETRIC EVALUATION ON A CHILD (<5) AND KNOWING THE NAME OF THE PROBLEM , WE RATHER WORK ON PROBLEM AREAS AND ROOT CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM AND BRIDGE THE DEVELOPMENTAL AGE GAP.
